I am a South African artist doing pet portraits, wildlife, farm animals, birds, and insects.
I grew up on a farm in the Karoo where nature and animals were my companions. Although I spent my adult life in big towns and cities, no one can take those roots away from me. I have always loved drawing and painting but decided to stick with one medium and become more focused on building an art career. I chose coloured pencil as my medium because of the detailed work it creates as I always prefer being more realistic in my artwork. Coloured pencils are a slow medium, but I now have patience and time – a luxury I did not have when I was younger.
One thing that I have learned is that it is never too late to start on a new journey and learn new skills.

ORIGINAL ART:
All my drawings are made on acid-free, archival paper with the best quality lightfast pencils. I use a card like paper, 360gsm, which makes handling and framing easy and safe. Sizes are usually A4 (24cm x30cm) but can also be in A5 or A3 as shown under each item.
PRINTS:
Fine art prints are available on most of my original art. Please note that there might be a 5 – 10 working days delay after ordering a print before shipping.
Shipping fees on all orders R800 and above are included – within South African borders.

A6 Greeting cards (148mm x 105mm folded) are available on most of my original art. It is printed on Munken Polar 240gsm paper, blank inside for your own unique message. An envelope is included.
The cards are for sale individually or in packets of 4 or 5 cards. You can mix and match your packet as you like. If you want cards of any of my original art which is not shown under greeting cards, you are welcome to let me know.

Let me do a pet portrait of your furry friend or commission me to do one as a gift for a friend or family member of their pet. A memorial portrait can also be special to keep the memories alive. I will also do commissions on any wildlife or farm animals.

PAYMENT
I will only start with your commission after receiving a 25 percent deposit upfront which is non-refundable upon cancellation. Once the drawing is complete the balance must be paid in full before shipping.
GENERAL
When you commission me, we will discuss the estimated time it will take to complete. Coloured pencils cannot be erased easily so make sure to mention any suggestions beforehand because it will not be easy to alter colour or detail. Please note that I draw photorealistic.
